Why do an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship really does give you the skills, experience and qualifications manufacturing and engineering businesses need. You'll learn from the best and get paid too! What's not to like?

Boost your 'employability'

Doing an apprenticeship gives you both the practical skills and knowledge that manufacturers and engineering companies are desperate for. And because they know we're manufacturing people too, they know that we will provide you with exactly the right skills they are looking for.

Learn to work independently

We'll be with you all the way, but we'll also teach you how to work things out for yourself which means you'll learn how to think and act on your own to your own deadline. Don't underestimate just how much potential employers value this skill because it means they know you can work on your own.

Lots of hands-on experience

Because we have our own training centre and only work with selected training colleges, you'll get loads of hands-on machine time, learning and perfecting the kinds of techniques that can sometimes be quite tricky. Because of this, you'll end up with much more practical experience earlier than most of your friends who have gone into further education or are even working.

Get paid to learn

You'll get paid to learn, and not many people can say that. Plus, the more skills you learn, the more likely that you'll earn more money. As soon as an employer sees the progress you are making, you'll become more valuable to them and puts you in a great position to get a pay rise.

Research shows that on average, an apprentice can look to earn between £170 and £210 per week and, the even better news is, that over the course of your career, you can earn on average £100,000 more than someone without an apprenticeship*.

It's not school

And even though you're in a learning environment, let's be clear, it's not school! This means that you can learn more at your own pace, and we're here to give you the specialist support when you need it. That's not to say that you can coem and go as you please - learning time management is an important aspect of your apprenticeship.

You CAN do it

As you will see throughout the site, people just like you are doing things, travelling places and earning the kind of money they never thought was possible before starting their apprenticeship.

And it all starts here.
